Canadian Photographer, Carlo Hindian

(Some of you may recognize the first few photographs of Justine, a Canadian model from Next modeling agency, I posted about a few weeks ago. This post is about the talented photographer, Carlo Hindian, who took those photographs and of his impressive portfolio. Carlo is a Montreal-based photographer with over 20 years experience, who rises to any challenge and is able to truly capture the essence of an image. One of the reason I was drawn to Carlo's photographs of Justine initially was due to the overhead light cascading onto the model. His personal portfolio, seen above, of images from Africa capture daylight with equal allure are truly memorizing. More of Carlo's work can be seen here.)

Canadian Designer

(Montreal-based Nadya Toto launched her ready-to-wear label in 1989. Her exquisite clothes are sold nationally and internationally. Nadya's style? Comfort and refinement while indulging in ultra-femininity.)

Suppressed creativity

(I have been wanting to post about Pica Press for some time. Granted, it is a departure from what I normally blog about, but no less inspirational. As a public servant, there is little room to express one's creativity at work. I can only imagine what it would be like to have that kind of freedom in one's profession, so I really draw inspiration from the wonderful and unique graphic design products that Pica Press offers. Those gorgeous index cards (middle image) will soon be mine, to spice up my new office this fall.)

Canadian Photographer, Virginia MacDonald

(Virginia graciously accepted my request to feature her on this blog and I couldn't be more thrilled. Virginia's work can been seen regularly in many well known Canadian magazines, such as Canadian House and Home, Canadian Gardening and Style at Home. I do love these images, which are a mix of her extensive editorial and personal portfolio, found here. Thanks, Virginia.)
