Noteworthy Cover

{stumbled on this fabulous cover of Dakota Fanning yesterday, which coincidentally occurred after seeing "The Secret Life of Bees" on Saturday. Have you seen it? It was one of the those movies that dictate you drop everything and give it your full concentration; absolutely beautiful... Ms. Fanning is superbly talented. }

Weekend Signoff :)

(I am so incredibly looking forward to this weekend, which I plan to use practicing my new Nikon D5000 camera! Yesterday evening was spent at a fundraising event benefiting the Arctic Children and Youth Foundation, the first of many events to celebrate the Year of the Inuit; many wonderful performances took place, notably by 3-time Juno Award winner, Susan Aglukark and spoken word artist, Taqralik Partridge. Have found that I am quite drawn to spoken word performances, a medium which perfectly captures the lives of Northerners and spirit of Canada's North. Happy, happy weekend to each of you... a huge welcome to new followers!! {356 from 344 last weekend, WOW} and let us all unite and send donations towards Haiti Earthquake Relief Efforts.
