The Harry Potter film series will go down in history as one of the most popular, and profitable, in history. There have been a number of television specials highlighting and detailing the long journey that the series’ stars embarked on long ago, as well as awards shows that highlighted the series as well. At the most recent MTV Teen Choice Awards, the Potter film series was given yet another send off, going out in style. Tom Felton and Rupert Grint were at the show, and went onstage to accept the Choice Summer Movie award, one of the most coveted of the award show.Felton also presented an award during the show – the Choice Movie Actress award. He stood alongside Christopher Mintz-Plasse to issue the award. Felton was asked about how much he prepared for the awards show and noted, "If it’s over-prepared you see sometimes that it’s so clearly scripted, and it’s not going to be any good. I’m trying to stay loose at the tongue and see what comes out."
Despite that, Felton and Mintz-Plasse performed a skit when they went onstage, with the latter telling Felton he’d had a fling with one of the nominees for the award they were presenting. Felton assured him that the chances were good that his secret amour would not be chosen for the award, but then when Cameron Diaz won, she went along with the gag and had an exchange with Mintz-Plasse that may as well have been planned. It was generally well-received., and it was clear that everyone was having a good time.
