{... absolutely love the combination of this neon green yellow trench and black clutch stylishly embellished with studs... how has your week been so far? For me, it has been endless interesting meetings, getting caught up on my files at work and best of all wearing my work clothes! Have a great evening and talk to you soon!}
{Hello again! It has been hectic since my last post, i.e., returning to work after four months french language training, the birth of my second grandchild, beautiful Léa, seen here, here and here and finally with her big brother, Zachary. Zachary, Léa and her parents (my oldest daughter, Amanda and her boyfriend) are living with us until my their new home is finish being built, sometime mid-November... so family life has been terrific to say the least... and now for this post, I absolutely love hats and graphic prints so couldn't resist posting this editorial... p.s. welcome to September, my favourite month of the year (has nothing to do that my birthday falls on the 14th!) hope your long weekend is going along beautifully so far, xoxo}

{...have I mentioned how much I love Tory Burch! ...was recently perusing her blog and came across this cute video: how to tie a bow blouse... and also fell in love with her Fall flat boot!}
{... wonderfully styled, mixed patterns featuring fitted dresses in large florals and polka dots, foulards and caps, a sheer black lace blouse paired with a pleated patterned skirt and cropped shorts make this collection noteworthy.}
{...with the temperature rising and summer finally in full swing, am naturally gravitating towards cool crisp white cottons, linens and lace... bare backs, tulle overlay, ruffles and short skirts... have a nice day, xo}
{... hope you had (and are still having, for my American friends) a fantastic (long) weekend?... what better way to start the week than with the lovely Heather Marks donned in a gorgeous sheer chantilly lace dress (by Brioni), a viscose top and viscose/polyester-blend short (by Max Mara) and knit lace cardigan and skirt and satin bra top (by Chanel)... have a wonderful Monday in your area of the world!}
{isn't this DIY scarf dress absolutely gorgeous?... I have always loved scarves and love wearing halter tops in summer from scarves... now with this ingenious DIY, I can also put my scarves to another use and wear them as a dress... love it!}
{...to begin with start with approximately two 31" square size scarves and pin together...next, create an hour glass shape (portioned to your body and wide enough to slip in and out of); the hourglass shape is not sewn in straight (vertical) alignment with the sides of the scarves ~ instead, it is placed at a slight (left-hand) bias. this is important to establishing the asymmetric effect of the finished product... sew together...}
{...mark on both sides of the dress (either with thread or tailor's chalk) where your straps will go.... plan on placing them approximately 10" apart using either your grommets or a needle & thread... attach 2 chain straps (it's up to you whether these match or not)... the shorter strap (to be worn on the right) should measure about 8.5" long; the longer strap (to be worn on the left) should measure about 12-13" long} {finished product should look like the photograph below...pay attention to how off-center the straps are ~ this placement is paramount to achieving the correct drape...} {all photographs and (more detailed) instructions taken from here...}
{...since my last inspiring spring post, we've had a snowfall and a cold spell... now the sun is out and the snow has melted away, but it is still cold... sigh! however, we can be cheered up with these lovely designs from one of my favourite Canadian designer labels... am absolutely loving the one button blazer in white (shown from the back), which also comes in a gorgeous navy, perfect for spring and summer}
