{...anchored by rich dark hardwood floors, this gorgeous home features stunning white French and Scandinavian design elements, ornate doors and frames, weathered pillars and cabinetry, beautiful chandeliers, Venetian mirrors and silk drapes... enjoy xo}
{...with the temperature rising and summer finally in full swing, am naturally gravitating towards cool crisp white cottons, linens and lace... bare backs, tulle overlay, ruffles and short skirts... have a nice day, xo}
{... hope you had (and are still having, for my American friends) a fantastic (long) weekend?... what better way to start the week than with the lovely Heather Marks donned in a gorgeous sheer chantilly lace dress (by Brioni), a viscose top and viscose/polyester-blend short (by Max Mara) and knit lace cardigan and skirt and satin bra top (by Chanel)... have a wonderful Monday in your area of the world!}
{... looking forward to a beautiful sunny day, comprising of another day of french language training...eating my lunch in a public garden and planning the next phase of my life... have a wonderful day!}
{If you have been reading this blog long enough, you will know that I prefer simplicity and clean lines, with touches of elegance and sophistication rather than opulence through and through or an overly interior designed home. This home reflects my style perfectly. Some elements that are not that evident: a sliding door to separate the hallway to the bedroom from the open common spaces and continuity of floating shelves throughout (especially love how the pillar includes a floating shelf to display artwork).}
{this is an old editorial, but it is exquisitely romantic... and beautifully photographed... especially love how the lovely pure white garments contrast against gracefully time-worn architecture... }

{Not a very productive week for blogging... made an extravagant salad last night for supper and then my husband kindly made his sister's famous sugar cones which I plan to give to colleagues today as a holiday treat. Today is also my last day of work before taking a few weeks annual leave, yay!... have a great day and hope to bring you some wonderful posts soon, xoxo!}
{a Scandinavian home, deliciously decorated for the Holidays... swooning over the soft neutral palette, ribbon-hung wreaths in the windows, chevron floors and that practically every room has a chandelier... sigh!}
